Silex Technology Enables Free Download Service of SX-Virtual Link SDK for Windows

Windows Client SDK Enabling USB Networking With Silex USB Device Servers

SANTA ANA, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 12, 2014) - Silex Technology America, Inc., a global leader in wired and wireless networking solutions, today has published the SX-Virtual Link SDK for Windows available for immediate download. The download is free for device manufacturers, system integrators, and end users who want more control and convenience of how they discover, connect, and disconnect USB devices over the network.

By integrating the SDK to an application for USB devices, users will be able to detect Silex products (device servers) and use the USB devices connected directly to the device server through the network. This Virtual Link Technology enables all kinds of USB devices, such as scanners, card readers and more to be used over a network like they are connected by a USB cable. Instead of using the Silex branded SX-Virtual Link application for Windows, developers can integrate the functionality into their own application. Silex now enables USB device developers and application engineers in a wide range of applications, by providing a free download of SX-Virtual Link SDK for Windows. Developers can now take advantage of this market leading USB over IP networking technology that has been installed in over 10 million devices.

"By enabling developers with access to our SDK, we are excited to see our technology be able to automate all types of home and business applications," said John Halloran, product manager at Silex America. "By integrating the SDK, USB device manufacturers, systems integrators, and end users can create their own user interface and make it work seamlessly within their application to enhance it with USB networking capability."
