SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Mar 22, 2013) - Silicon Legal Strategy today announced that Julie Gleason has joined the firm as a senior paralegal working in its San Francisco office.
"Silicon Legal has doubled headcount in the past year and Julie makes the third strategic hire from a larger firm in the past three months," said Andre Gharakhanian, partner at Silicon Legal Strategy. "Because we offer solid career development opportunities as well as a culture and vision that larger firms cannot match, we're seeing an influx of strong candidates with diverse legal backgrounds who want to leverage their experience and follow their passions to help the entrepreneur community. We're excited to have Julie on board. Her expertise in efficiently managing even the smallest corporate details for startups and investors will complement our team's capabilities."
With more than 20 years of experience in big law, Julie will assist clients and the Silicon Legal team with corporate governance matters, capitalization management, incorporations and venture capital financings. At Silicon Legal, Julie will work with emerging growth companies at every stage of development to help them navigate and handle day-to-day corporate legal matters.
Before joining Silicon Legal, Julie was a senior paralegal in the Emerging Companies Group at Perkins Coie LLP in Palo Alto. Julie also worked as a paralegal at VantagePoint Venture Partners and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and managed the venture capital services trading desk at Credit Suisse First Boston.
"Andre's philosophy of building a different type of corporate law firm was attractive to someone like me who's worked in a larger firm for most of their career," said Julie Gleason. "I'm excited to join a team who has access to clients and can play a crucial part in a company's success."
