SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - May 28, 2014) - Siluria Technologies, a pioneer in the commercial production of fuels and chemicals made from clean and abundant natural gas, has made two further additions to its executive team.
Appointed Vice President of Corporate Development, Rahul Iyer will continue to be responsible for Siluria's Business Development, as well as its IT functions. Iyer was previously Senior Director of Corporate Development and has been with the company since 2010. Prior to Siluria, Iyer co-founded two energy technology companies: a hydrogen fuel cell company acquired by U.K.-based Intelligent Energy and Primafuel -- a renewable fuels and chemicals solutions provider, now subsidiary of Edeniq. Additionally, he served as President of Golden Bridge Strategies where he provided strategic guidance to private equity investors in the clean energy space. Iyer is a graduate of the University of California: Berkeley.
Appointed Vice President of Operations, Gary Koehler will have responsibility for Siluria's demo unit and planned commercial operations, as well as overall leadership on Environmental Health and Safety. Koehler had been working with the Siluria team since 2013. Prior to that Koehler has been Director of Engineering Services for Lyondell Basell, where he led 4 different locations as Site Manager for ARCO Chemical, Equistar and Lyondell. He graduated as a chemical engineer from the Pennsylvania State University, and has worked in numerous process technologies from basic petrochemicals to intermediate chemical, specialties and polymer products. He has led scale-up of several novel petrochemical processes and is strongly committed to process safety and excellence in operations.
