Silver Lining in the Cloud on Gwinnett Business RadioX Spotlights Senior Connections

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - April 14, 2015) - On March 11, 2015, Silver Lining in the Cloud welcomed to the studio Grant Yarbrough and Sally Eggleston with Senior Connections. Host Dom Rainey spoke with these guests about the importance of providing low-income seniors with the freedom to age with grace and dignity.

The mission of Senior Connections is to provide essential home and community-based care that maximizes independence. For over 40 years they have provided low-income seniors with the freedom to age with grace and dignity. They serve the entire ten county region including the City of Atlanta.

As members of the Senior Connections Leadership Team, both Yarbrough and Eggleston serve the organization to aid in promotion and fundraising to provide a variety of services to thousands of metro Atlanta seniors. Senior Connections offers a range of services provided by skilled professionals and community volunteers. While those with the financial means to do so pay the full cost of services, there are public funds, United Way grants, and private donations that help subsidize the cost of services to those in need. Senior Connections never denies service due to a lack of ability to pay.

"Senior Connections operates four key programs," explained Yarbrough. "Meals on Wheels, In-Home Care, Emergency Home Repair and management of senior centers for DeKalb County." Senior Connections incorporates volunteers wherever possible to reduce costs and maximize community investment. As another way to generate additional revenue to support their comprehensive no-fee services for low income seniors, they offer Connections Catering, which provides corporate and individual catering, with the profits immediately reinvested into their programs.
