Silver Peak Appoints Larry Cormier as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwire - September 7, 2010) - Silver Peak Systems, Inc. today announced that Larry Cormier has joined the company as senior vice president of worldwide marketing. In this role, Mr. Cormier will be responsible for extending Silver Peak's position as the leader in data center class WAN optimization, which is the fastest growing segment of the WAN optimization market as it is a key enabler for various IT initiatives, including disaster recovery, data center consolidation, data migration, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI).

Mr. Cormier is a frequent speaker and writer on industry topics with three decades of leadership experience in the technology industry. He has successfully led marketing initiatives at several leading data center infrastructure companies, including McData, CommVault, and LeftHand Networks (now HP). Larry previously served as Chief Marketing Officer and a board member for the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA).
