Silver Quest Intersects Silver at Capoose Project, BC

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 8, 2009) - Silver Quest Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SQI) (the "Company") is pleased to report assay results for diamond drill holes D-09-111 and D-09-112, which were completed during the fall 2009 drill program on the Capoose-Silver Trend ("Capoose") Project. The property is located 185 km southwest of Prince George, British Columbia. For further details and property maps, including a drill hole location map, please visit the Company's website

Drill holes D-09-111 and D-09-112 were both inclined at minus 60 degrees, and drilled from a single collar location within Zone 2. These two holes were drilled approximately 190 metres north of drill holes D-09-109 and D-09-110, previously reported by the Company (see news release dated November 30, 2009). Drill holes D-09-111 and D-09-112 were designed to test a gap between historic drill holes in the north-central part of Zone 2. Assay results show that both D-09-111 and D-09-112 are mineralized from surface to the bottom of the hole, indicating that Zone 2 is open at depth. Drill hole D-09-111 was inclined to the west, and drill hole D-09-112 was inclined to the east. Assay results from drill hole D-09-111 confirm that significant silver mineralization is present in the west part of Zone 2. The lowermost mineralized interval in drill hole D-09-112, from 86 m to 100 m depth, contains 0.178% copper which indicates that porphyry copper-type mineralization may underlie Zone 2.

The silver and gold mineralization at Capoose is associated with disseminated sulphide minerals. Drill intercept widths reported below may not represent the true width of the mineralized intervals.

Significant assay intercepts include:

Pending assay results from the four remaining 2009 drill holes will be released when they become available to the Company. Silver Quest plans to continue to expand the known limits of mineralization with an extensive drill program during 2010.

Drill core analysis and assaying is conducted by Eco Tech Laboratory in Kamloops, BC, which is an International Standard ISO 9001:2000-certified laboratory. The core samples were analyzed using a 28-element ICPMS package with a 30-gram fire assay with AA finish for over limit (plus one gram per tonne) gold and (plus 30 grams per tonne) silver concentrations. The Company has implemented a quality assurance and control program to ensure that sampling and analysis of all samples is conducted in accordance with the best possible practices. Diamond drilling was carried out by Driftwood Diamond Drilling Ltd. of Smithers, BC. Mr. David Pawliuk, P. Geo., the Company's VP – Exploration is the qualified person, as defined by National Instrument 43-101, for the Capoose-Silver Trend project and supervised the preparation of the technical information in this release.
