CUSIP NUMBER: 828170100

MEXICO

Silver Shield has completed Phase I of its drilling program on its La Cumbre property in Mexico. Approximately one half of the core has been sampled and sent to Inspectorate de Mexico S.A. de C.V. at their prepping lab in Durango, with the pulps being sent to Sparks, Nevada, USA for analysis. Additional soil and rock samples from various locations on the property have also been sent for analysis.

Line cutting and soil sampling is progressing. A new grid is being readied to cover an old trench located in the north central portion of the property. The trench is being cleaned by hand and extended along the strike of the vein. Where exposed, the quartz-carbonate vein varies in width of up to 15 centimetres and lies within an approximately 1.5 metre wide shear zone trending at 024 degrees. Mineralization identified within the vein and shear zone consists of malachite/ azurite (copper minerals) and argentite (silver mineral).

As previously reported, a new copper showing was found while making a new road to access water for drilling. A 1.3 metre wide sample across this returned a grade of 81 g/t Ag and 2.17% Cu. A float sample of similar looking material recovered on the road about 50 metres west returned 327.3 g/t Ag and 5.4% Cu. Further work is planned for this area.

CANADA

The Company plans to commence a drill program on its Welsh Silver Mine Property, located in Elk Lake, northern Ontario, on March 17th. The Welsh Silver Mine is the site of the former Otisse Mine and 3 other shafts. Currently, there are 12 claims under option and 5 additional units acquired by staking by the company. Previous work discovered 5 silver bearing veins on the 75 foot and 150 foot levels of the Otisse Mine, these veins were never developed. Cobalt, nickel, and copper mineralization can also be found in the veins. There was underground work in the 1960's and 1970's, and drilling by Silver Shield in 2006 located and extended these veins, along with discovering new veins. Phase 1 drilling was completed by Silver Shield on the property in 2006, which is NI 43-101 compliant, and can be found on the Company's corporate website.

The current drilling will firstly be conducted 1 kilometre southeast of the Welsh Mine, to follow up on drilling by Teck-Lacana in 1984 that intersected, on the Silver Shield ground, values as high as 231.70 ounces/ton Ag over 0.2 feet and 41.98 ounces/ ton Ag over 1.2 feet. Drill holes were generally located at 100 foot intervals. No follow up drilling was ever performed by Teck-Lacana. Drilling along the north boundary in 1982 returned up to 72.64 ounces/ton over 1.3 feet. Silver Shield's program is designed to re-test these historical values, and discover and expand new silver, copper, and cobalt zones.
