Silverstone Resources Corp.: Phase II, 3,600 Meter Drill Program Planned for Copala

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 11, 2006) - Silverstone Resources Corp. ("Silverstone") (TSX VENTURE:SST) is pleased to report results from the last 7 drill intercepts of the Phase IA drill program which, together with the Phase I program, totaled 4,741 m in 34 holes. Copala is located 60 km ENE of the city of Mazatlan, Sinaloa State, Mexico. A summary of these recent results is presented in Table 1.

- (i) True widths are estimated by correcting for the strike and dip
of the vein and the bearing and inclination of the drill hole.
- Drill holes CC-06-29 and CC-06-30 contained anomalous values only.

These drill hole intercepts, along with those drilled previously at Copala (see Table 2 below), indicate that the mineralization in the El Muerto sector is open along strike and down dip. The strike extent of mineralization is now greater than 150 m and the dip extent is more than 100 m below surface.

These results from the Phase I and Phase IA drill programs have encouraged Silverstone management to proceed with a Phase II drill program at Copala. The Phase II program will explore beneath and peripheral to historic workings in the following 5 sectors of the Animas Refugio vein: Clavo San Francisco, Clemens, El Muerto, Clavo Cantil, and San Carlos. The first four of these sectors occur within a 1 km long section of the Animas Refugio vein that strikes NW. This section of the vein starts about 300 m SE of the Mariposa mine which is currently in production on the adjacent property. A longitudinal section showing drilled and proposed holes for the Clavo San Francisco - Clemens section of the Animas Refugio vein is presented on the website www.silverstonecorp.com. The Phase II program is planned at 3,600 m of HQ core distributed between approximately 35 drill holes. A core rig from Major Drilling is expected on site in October.

Prior results from the Phase I drill program at Copala are summarized in Table 2.

At Copala, samples have been assayed by ALS Chemex in Vancouver. Duplicate pulp samples have also been assayed by ALS Chemex and duplicate core samples have been sent to BSi Inspectorate in Reno Nevada.
