TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 22, 2006) - Simberi Mining Corporation ("Simberi") (TSX VENTURE:SAU) announces that it will be refiling the previously issued unaudited financial statements for the three and six months ended June 30, 2006. The originally filed statements contained an error relating to the accounting treatment of foreign exchange for investment in overseas mining interests. The revisions made to the June 30, 2006 unaudited financial statements have no effect on the September 30, 2006 unaudited financial statements that were released on November 26, 2006.
