Simon Arkell, Predixion Software, Named Outstanding Technology CEO Finalist for the 21st OC Tech Alliance High-Tech Innovation Awards

Winners to Be Announced at October 9 Awards Gala Celebrating 21 Years of Technology Innovation in Orange County

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA--(Marketwired - Jul 29, 2014) - Simon Arkell, CEO of Predixion Software, a developer of innovative predictive analytics software, has been named a finalist in the Outstanding CEO category of the Orange County Technology Alliance annual High-Tech Innovation Awards. Arkell is one of three finalists for Outstanding CEO for a medium-sized company; the winner will be announced October 9 at the 21st Annual High-Tech Awards Event at the Westin South Coast Plaza.

After 15 successful years in the software industry, former track and field Olympian Simon Arkell founded Predixion Software in late 2009 to provide a product that leverages Big Data to do predictive analysis, without requiring an advanced degree from users. Under Arkell's leadership, in less than five years, Predixion has evolved into a growth-stage company with over 60 employees; $33 Million in capital; partners like Accenture, GE and EMC; and an award-winning product with customers spanning multiple industries.

"We are honored to have been selected as a finalist in this year's awards," said Terri Avnaim, Vice President of Marketing, Predixion Software. "The High-Tech Innovation Awards from the OC Tech Alliance is a Southern California tradition for recognizing technology innovation and we're thrilled to be a part of it."

"We received many nominations this year, from companies all over Orange County including large, well-established firms to start-ups," said Peter Craig, CEO, OC Tech Alliance. "We congratulate Simon Arkell for being selected as a finalist. This selection demonstrates an example of the leadership that drives technology innovation here, across the country and around the world."

Now in its 21st year, the High-Tech Awards is Southern California's premier awards, in partnership with Project Tomorrow, a leading national education nonprofit group focused on preparing today's students to be tomorrow's innovators.

About Predixion Software

Predixion was founded on the belief that predictive analytics has the power to create a smarter, safer and healthier world -- and that access to this power should not be limited to a select few with extensive statistical knowledge. To achieve this vision, Predixion developed a self-service predictive analytics platform called Predixion Insight™ that simplifies the entire predictive process. Predixion Insight is designed for business analysts and non-technical users to enable broader adoption of predictive analytics, but is powerful and flexible enough for data scientists. In addition, Predixion expedites the "Last Mile of Analytics™" -- the deployment of powerful predictions directly to those that need them to take action -- so the value of being predictive is realized immediately. More than 200 companies rely on Predixion to help drive better decisions every day. For more information visit www.predixionsoftware.com.
