SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 16, 2016) - Tile, the smart location company with the world's largest lost-and-found network, today announced that Simon Fleming-Wood has joined the company as its first Chief Marketing Officer.
"From expanding our retail footprint to releasing two new products and unveiling the Tile Smart Location Platform, it has been an exciting year at Tile," said Mike Farley, CEO and Co-Founder of Tile. He also led the development of award-winning marketing campaigns including "The Next Song Matters" in 2015 and "Thumb Moments" in 2014.
"It is such an exciting time to be joining Tile," said Simon Fleming-Wood, CMO of Tile. "The company's mission to blanket the world with smart location has massive opportunity for consumers and businesses alike. I look forward to diving in and helping continue to drive Tile's growth globally."
Earlier this year Tile secured $18 million in Series B funding led by Bessemer Ventures and increased its retail footprint to more than 25,000 stores. Tile also recently released two new products, Tile Slim and Tile Mate, in addition to the Tile Smart Location Platform, which makes it possible for other companies to give their own products the power of smart location.
Prior to Pandora, Fleming-Wood was the founding head of marketing at Pure Digital Technologies, maker of the iconic Flip Video brand, where he led the team through its $590M acquisition by Cisco. He has also held leadership positions at The Clorox Company, The Learning Company, Sega and Mattel.
Tile gives everything the power of smart location. Tile's devices, network and mobile app work together to help people locate the things that matter to them most. Tile's global community spans 200 countries and territories and helps people locate more than half a million items every day. The Tile Smart Location Platform makes it possible for other companies to embed location into their own products.
