Sinequa Announces Major Milestones and Strong Business Momentum in a Rapidly Evolving Market

Sinequa ES Drives 217% License Revenue Growth for the First Half of 2015, Year-Over-Year

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2015) - Sinequa, a leader in real-time Big Data search and analytics, today announced that the company achieved major milestones in the first half of 2015, which closed June 30, including strong growth, as well as new customers and partners. Additionally, the company recently announced new appointments to its executive team to further accelerate momentum. The evolving market for Big Data search and analytics continues to sustain and strengthen Sinequa's business dynamics.

Financial Highlights - Strong Growth Recorded in the U.S.
The company achieved license revenue growth of 217% in the first half of the year, compared to the first half of 2014. As a result of its U.S. operation's expansion and increased market adoption, Sinequa's license revenue for North America grew by 440% for the first two quarters, representing close to 50% of the group's license revenue.

During the first half, Sinequa also signed new major customers across multiple vertical industries. The company had significant wins at Atos, Celgene, Biogen, ENGIE and Total, and closed a major deal with a leading global biopharmaceutical company based in New York.

"We see a strong movement in our market. While Big Data was a hazy notion for many organizations -- with a lot of hype and yet little concrete results to show -- today we see tangible projects, chosen for realistic ROI expectations, with vision and realism," said Fabrice de Salaberry, COO, Sinequa. "Our Big Data Search & Analytics platform, tapping into the 80% of unstructured data that had been left untreated in the past, permeates enterprises and public administrations. The movement is accelerating as companies realize the speed with which they are able to implement truly effective solutions. Now, with the speed and agility our technology offers, IT organizations are able to return to the circles of decision makers from which they had been excluded for too long."

Committed Partners
Leading systems integrators and technology partners are rapidly realizing the potential of the Sinequa platform and how it helps to address these critical market dynamics. This has fueled a number of new alliances and partnerships for Sinequa that are very important for delivering best-in-class solutions and services customers require.

In March, Sinequa announced a strategic Big Data partnership with Atos, an international leader in digital services with 93,000 employees in 72 countries. The partnership brought together Sinequa's flexible enterprise search platform, which scales to hundreds of millions of documents and billions of database records, and Atos's business consulting and IT services expertise, providing an end-to-end Big Data solution.

During the first quarter, Sinequa also unveiled a strategic partnership with Knowledgent, the data and analytics firm, enabling clients to successfully uncover critical business insights through structured and unstructured data.

On the technology partner side, Sinequa signed a partnership with SciBite, a UK-based Informatics company, to integrate company and pharma industry knowledge (dictionaries & ontologies) into the Sinequa solution for Life Sciences

During this period, Sinequa also strengthened its partnership with Sword, a specialized Software and IT services company with a headcount of more than 1,200. The two companies provided support and actively participated to the two-day Hackathon Data Search Engine & Analytics organized by our joint customer ENGIE.

Executive Leadership Team
During the first half of 2015, Sinequa also expanded its executive leadership team with the appointment of Fabrice de Salaberry as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Sinequa, de Salaberry was President and CEO at Active Circle, acquired by Oodrive at the end of 2014. Before that, he was COO at Atempo, a provider of data protection and archiving solutions, where he headed worldwide operations. Atempo was acquired by ASG Software Solutions in 2011.

In addition, Sinequa recently appointed Laurent Fanichet to the company's executive team as Vice President of Marketing. Fanichet brings over 20 years of marketing experience in the software industry where he has worked in a variety of roles, in both Europe and Silicon Valley, Calif. Most recently, Fanichet was a Senior Product Manager at Quantum Corporation. Prior to Quantum, Fanichet served as Director of Marketing at Atempo.
