HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwire - Jan 10, 2013) - Multi-award winning agency Fifth Ring Integrated Corporate Communications has launched an office in Singapore as part of its strategic expansion in the Asia Pacific region.
Fifth Ring, which specializes in Business-to-Business (B2B) communications with a focus on the energy industry, supports clients internationally through bases in Houston, Aberdeen, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Kuala Lumpur and has now acquired Singapore-based Like Minds Consulting.
Fifth Ring's new office in Singapore highlights the increasing development opportunities across its key market sectors of energy, construction, property and financial services. It will be taking its integrated communications offering -- which strategically combines business positioning, public relations, advertising, creative and digital media and marketing -- to the Singapore market.
"The Like Minds team will be a valuable addition to the global team at Fifth Ring and will assist current and future clients in their endeavours in Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region," said Clif Collier, group managing director at Fifth Ring.
"Establishing a presence within the country became a logical step for us to ensure we continue to be where our existing and future clients need us to be. The expertise and local knowledge brought to us by the Like Minds team will ensure we continue to set ourselves apart in the marketplace as the leading energy specialist," said Collier.
"While we have managed a number of successful projects in Singapore and the wider region, we recognize having a local presence is a prerequisite in order to succeed and grow," said Ian Ord, Fifth Ring's business development director. "This acquisition will help support our philosophy of a global strategy being supported by local delivery."
"We are confident this expansion will lead to attractive opportunities for Fifth Ring, not only in procuring new business, but also in presenting new opportunities for our existing client base. The move demonstrates our active approach to fully internationalize Fifth Ring -- a vision we set out in 2004 -- by securing offices across the energy centers of the world. We constantly seek to raise the bar to an entirely new level," said Ord.
Like Minds is a digital and PR company which has represented the interests of a number of major corporations such as Affle, Servion and Citilink. The company will be enhanced by Fifth Ring's broad range of expertise.
Fifth Ring's new office is led by Himanshu Verma, who takes on the role of the company's APAC managing director having previously held the position of director of Like Minds Consulting. Verma brings with him more than 21 years of public relations, public affairs and marketing communications experience. His leadership roles include stints with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and PR agency IPAN Hill+Knowlton Strategies.
With support from its UK, North America and Middle East teams, Fifth Ring has set ambitious targets for its new regional office.
"As energy specialists, it is critical we are in a position to support our clients in the key regions of their business. Fifth Ring has a strong global team and the addition of our Singapore base will prove invaluable to our North American clients in their marketing endeavours throughout the world," said Ed Davis, general manager of Fifth Ring's Houston office.
"This is the latest step, but by no means the last, in fulfilling our vision of being the world's leading B2B specialists, with a particular focus on the energy sector," Collier concluded.
