Single-Day Reserved Tickets to Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Go on Sale March 1

ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA--(Marketwire - Feb. 28, 2011) - With just 24 days left until the World's Fastest Spring Break Party, the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg announces today that single-day reserved grandstand and single-day general admission tickets will go on sale March 1. Festival-goers looking to secure their seats for Sunday's marquee race can do so by purchasing tickets online at or by phone at 877-283-5385. Organizers of the event have also announced that customers who purchase reserved single-day tickets for Sunday will receive a free ticket to the IZOD IndyCar Series season finale in Las Vegas.

"IndyCar racing officially begins in St. Petersburg this year," said Tim Ramsberger, Vice President and General Manager of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. "With all the excitement that's going to be happening, fans will want to make sure they have their seats saved for Sunday's big race. We offer a variety of ticket options for race weekend, along with onsite entertainment like never before, making our event a must for motorsport fans and festival-goers."

Single-day reserved tickets are available for Sunday, and range in price from $60 to $80 for adults and from $35 to $55 for juniors. Meanwhile, general admission tickets on Sunday will cost adults $40 and juniors $15, while general admission on Friday and Saturday will range from $25 for adults and $10 for juniors.

The 2011 edition of the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg returns to the streets of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida from March 25-27, 2011 and will mark the start of the IZOD IndyCar Series season. Come and see 2010 race winner Will Power defend his title against the Series' champion, Dario Franchitti, as well as other past winners in St. Petersburg including Helio Castroneves, Ryan Briscoe and Graham Rahal. Fan-favorite Danica Patrick and Florida natives Marco Andretti and Ryan Hunter-Reay will also be among drivers competing for the first win of the season. In addition, supporting races from the Firestone Indy Lights, Star Mazda Championship, USF 2000 National Championship and the Acura Sports Car Challenge of the SCCA World Challenge will complete the racing schedule.
