Singles Activities Club, Events and Adventures, Gives Back to the Dallas Community

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - January 13, 2010) - Everyone likes to start the New Year hoping to improve their personal lives. This year a group of singles decided to put a twist on this age old tradition -- they wanted to put an Arlington charitable organization first.

Singles from the Dallas areas premier activities club, Events and Adventures, along with radio station KLTY teamed up for an event to help the Mission Arlington food and clothing bank get ready for its busy time of the year.

More than 50 volunteers came to Mission Arlington with a single focus -- to work in the Food Pantry with individuals and families to assemble and hand out food bags. Events and Adventures members and KLTY volunteers also assisted by receiving perishable and non-perishable food donations, organizing it within the warehouse, and getting the food ready for distribution.

"It's always nice when it works out that Events and Adventures can host an event that enables our members to give back to the community," said Mark Owen, president of Events and Adventures. "Mission Arlington is a great organization and our members got to give them a boost, and spend time with other singles in the community -- now that is a win-win."

While Events and Adventures offers its members exciting new adventures and cultural events, the club provides constant opportunities for singles to participate in philanthropic events throughout the Dallas area and the perfect way to accomplish a variety of personal goals.
