Sino Legend Calls for Continued Resins Innovation

Labels Anti-Competitive Trade Actions as Harmful to the Global Tire Industry

ZHANGJIAGANG CITY, CHINA--(Marketwire - May 23, 2012) - Sino Legend (Zhangjiagang) Chemical Co., Ltd., the largest Asian manufacturer of resins for the tire and rubber industries, today renewed its call for further market innovation to help fuel unfettered advancement among its manufacturing partners.

"The combination of our world-class production capabilities and unique technologies, derived from independent research conducted in China during the 1980s, has fueled our remarkable growth," said Mr. Corey Xie, deputy manager, Sino Legend. "Only through such continued innovation can the industry continue to deliver higher quality, more cost effective solutions to tire manufacturers."

"However, some old-line competitors continue to mount campaigns to prevent such innovation from flourishing, preferring to pursue unfounded legal claims and trade sanctions versus competing on the merits of their products. Their actions are not only anti-competitive, but harmful to the very industry in which they're participating."

"In the interest of championing fair, ethical business practices and the broader interests of the tire and rubber industry, Sino Legend plans to work closely with the U.S. International Trade Commission as it evaluates our Section 337 compliance. We will continue to actively defend our intellectual property, especially as we move forward with plans to enter the U.S. and European markets this year, undeterred by competitive sabre rattling."

Sino Legend recently launched an interactive timeline and fact sheet detailing its technology development and manufacturing history, presenting an unvarnished view of its growth trajectory. These are now available at

Just four years after beginning production, Sino Legend now holds 70 percent of the Chinese market and 30 percent share for the rest of Asia. The company has become a supplier to eight of the top ten multinational tire companies operating in Asia, as well as to the majority of China's domestic manufacturers.
