Mr. Allen Rose reports:

Sino Pacific Development Ltd. is extremely pleased to announce that a prominent Canadian geoscientist, Dr. John Gammon, has been appointed to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Gammon holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Leicester and Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Durham; both located in the United Kingdom. This was followed by three years postdoctoral research at several prestigious US universities as the recipient of a Senior Visiting Fulbright Fellowship.

For the following twenty years, Dr. Gammon was employed by the private sector in successively senior positions in mineral exploration management including 16 years with Falconbridge Nickel Mines Ltd. His professional experience was gained from exploration undertaken in the UK, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Australia, Thailand, the Philippines, Canada, the USA and Brazil. Dr. Gammon has a proven record of successful mineral discovery and is well known to key senior executives within the global mining industry. He has also represented industry interests as a Director of the Chamber of Mines in Norway, the Philippines and British Columbia, Canada.

When Falconbridge closed its Vancouver office following its merger with Kidd Creek in 1986, Dr. Gammon became a private consultant for 2 years working for a wide range of clients including private sector companies, governments and international agencies.

For the past seventeen years Dr. Gammon worked for the Government of Ontario and since 1991 was the Assistant Deputy Minister, Mines and Minerals. In this role he was the senior policy advisor on all mining issues with the government as well as program responsibility for the Ontario Geological Survey, mineral land tenure administration, environmental regulation of mining, mine site reclamation and investment attraction activities. Dr. Gammon recently retired from this position and returned to his private consulting business.

"The addition of Dr. Gammon to our board adds a tremendous depth of industry and governmental knowledge. His considerable experience both nationally and internationally is a enviable asset that will benefit in the growth of our company," commented interim President Allan Frew.
