Sionix Corporation Announces Sale to Madava Farms

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - Oct 28, 2013) -  Sionix Corporation (OTCQB: SINX) reported today that it received a purchase order for a new Dissolved Air Flotation Unit ("DAF") from Madava Sugar Maple, LLC (home of Crown Maple syrup and sugar) in Dutchess County, New York. The stainless steel unit is an improved proprietary design based on the successful operation of a prototype system operated at Madava Farms, the home of Crown Maple, during the last maple sap season.

Mark Hayes, Sionix Chief Scientist, stated, "We worked closely with the Crown Maple team, fine tuning the DAF operation and testing product after the DAF, UV and Reverse Osmosis treatment. We performed extensive lab analysis and observed zero growth of microbes after treatment. We believe the total system led to improved production and product quality during the sap season."

Tyge Rugenstein, Crown Maple and Madava Farms' Chief Operating Officer, stated, "We saw production, quality and operating benefits from the DAF and UV units. Our sap quality was improved by the removal of natural contaminants and bacteria and we were able to extend production of our high quality syrup all the way to the end of the season. The cleaner sap produced in the Sionix equipment clearly reduced maintenance downtime and lowered operating costs in our reverse osmosis unit. We have worked together with Sionix to incorporate everything we learned into the new improved design."

Sionix Chief Operating Officer, Rex Crick, commented, "We are pleased to work with the professional team at Madava Farms; they are leaders in the maple syrup industry and we are proud to be part of their impressive total system technology. We will continue to cooperate with and learn from Crown Maple as they lead their industry by producing the highest quality maple syrup in the world."

Madava Farms Chief Executive Officer, Compton Chase-Lansdale, commented, "We are looking forward to the upcoming sap season and we believe our upgraded process will increase production, improve operational performance and most importantly produce distinct Crown Maple syrup and sugar possessing the best flavor and quality. At Madava Farms, we believe we have developed the best total processing technology in our industry and we hope to continue to work with our friends at Sionix to expand and improve our business and our industry." This collaboration has developed transformative technology for the production of superior maple sweeteners and is the realization of the vision of Robb Turner, Founder of Crown Maple and Madava Farms.
