Sitecore Champion of the WCM Market

Info-Tech Research Group's Findings Validate Sitecore's Strength in Web Engagement and Online Marketing Solutions

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 6, 2011) - Sitecore today announced it has been named a Champion in Info-Tech Research Group's latest Vendor Landscape report for the category of Web Content Management. Info-Tech chose Sitecore as a Champion based on its high scores for excellent value, strong market presence and for being a trend-setter in the industry.

The report notes "Web Content Management (WCM) is quickly changing from a standalone technology to a platform for e-commerce and marketing solutions. WCM is quickly absorbing other aspects of the Web content creation and management stack, including analytics and marketing automation."

According to the report, "Sitecore is a good choice for dedicated Microsoft shops that want to implement marketing automation tools for the first time or replace existing tools." In addition, Info-Tech Research Group identified Sitecore's strengths that include a diverse set of marketing tools such as e-mail campaign management, analytics and multi-variant testing and technology modules for e-commerce and internal portals.

Sitecore's user interface, mobile support and SharePoint integration were highlighted as very strong, while the report called out Sitecore as a leader in cloud deployment options.

"Historically WCM solutions have focused on creating and managing Web content, but now the technology is helping marketers deliver and measure campaigns," said Darren Guarnaccia, senior vice president, product marketing, Sitecore. "Sitecore has been leading this revolution for the past two years and the Info-Tech report provides further proof for marketers that an integrated approach to WCM and online marketing programs is critical to overall business success."

In last year's Web Content Management vendor landscape report, Sitecore was acknowledged as an Innovator. This year's Champion status, the highest scoring possible, underscores Sitecore's innovation and ability to execute.
