SituCon Systems Names Martin Boorstein as Chief Financial Officer

PORT WASHINGTON, NY--(Marketwire - May 18, 2011) - SituCon Systems Inc., a developer and manufacturer of emergency alerting and surveillance on-demand solutions for schools, municipal facilities, healthcare facilities and private businesses, today named Martin B. Boorstein as chief financial officer.

Boorstein has had a distinguished career on Wall Street and as an advisor and director for many companies. He was a managing partner of Walden Capital Partners, L.P., an investment company that provided financial resources to businesses which were positioned for expansion. He was also principal of Walden Partners, an M&A and consulting firm.

SituCon allows individuals to alert authorities and activate cameras that provide real time video to 9-1-1 centers, law enforcement and other emergency responders when an incident occurs. SituCon's "on-demand" video eliminates the need for constant surveillance camera monitoring and addresses the privacy concerns associated with traditional surveillance systems. SituCon's solution is currently being used in school classrooms, municipal buildings and healthcare facilities as well as law enforcement in New York, Massachusetts and California.

"SituCon has developed an innovative, cost-effective solution that for the first time provides immediate surveillance only during an emergency and privacy at all other times," Boorstein explains. "As responders can now be directly connected to the incident, they can respond quicker having better information for the appropriate response level, saving time and saving lives. These innovations represent a significant expansion opportunity so I look forward to executing our business plan and seek partners who will help us achieve our goals."

"We're fortunate to have someone as experienced and as highly regarded on Wall Street as Marty," says Seth Cirker, CEO of SituCon Systems. "We look forward to working together to execute on our business plan to achieve our financial goals and forge partnerships with the right companies that will further expand our footprint in key vertical markets."

Prior to his position at Walden Partners, in 1988, Mr. Boorstein was chairman and chief executive officer of IM Management Corp. Before that, he managed the fixed income and fixed income arbitrage divisions of Rothschild Inc., where he also became active in corporate finance and venture capital.

He began his career on Wall Street in 1966 at E.F. Hutton & Co., where he was national product manager for fixed income and was responsible for the creation of many innovative products.

Lastly, Boorstein served as a director of Nexus Holdings, Inc., Iridian, Inc., Remote Reality, Inc. as well as Cryptek, Inc., Outlast Technologies, GlobalServe, Remote Reality and Agilence.

He is a member of the Executive Committee and Board Member of the Association for the Help of Retarded Children (AHRC) (Nassau) and of the Nassau A.H.R.C. Foundation.

Boorstein earned his B.S. at Tulane University.
