SJ Is Direct Support Opener to the a Capella Group for Six November Shows

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - Oct 24, 2012) - Acoustic Soul Records announced that its breakout singer-songwriter SJ will open for Pentatonix, NBC's "The Sing Off" third season champion, on its fall 2012 tour. SJ brings his radio charting tunes and soulful voice to Pentatonix fans at six November shows: Minneapolis, Madison, Iowa City, St. Louis, Chicago, and Ann Arbor.

"It's an honor to share the stage with Pentatonix," said SJ. "They are stellar," SJ continued.

SJ's shows with Pentatonix will conclude his 2012 U.S. Coffee Tour supporting his national radio charting single "Let Me Be" and new album release, "Coffee: Strong Brew Edition." The single has remained on the Mediabase A/C charts for 13 weeks, peaking at number 31 as the number one most active independent artist in the U.S. It recently reached number 31 on the Hot A/C Indicator charts, and is spinning in nearly 40 national AAA and Americana markets.

"Joining Pentatonix is the perfect way to conclude my fall tour and releases," said SJ. "Pentatonix has amazingly supportive fans. I'm excited to introduce my original music to them."

Pentatonix gained fame as the season three champions on NBC's show "The Sing Off." Their a capella covers of popular songs have received international acclaim, going viral on YouTube. Two of their covers, "Somebody That I Used to Know" by Gotye featuring Kimbra and "We Are Young" by Fun, have earned nearly fifteen million combined views.
