SKIN-PREP Wipes Recalled from the Canadian Market: Manufactured by the Triad Group

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 2, 2011) - Health Canada is advising that the importer, Smith & Nephew is recalling products that were manufactured by the Triad Group. It is important to note that the affected product is labelled as SKIN-PREP Wipes.

Skin-Prep wipes are alcohol based liquid skin preparations that provide a protective film to help reduce friction during removal of tapes and films. Skin-Prep can also be used to prepare areas of the body for drainage tubes, external catheters and adhesive dressings.

Should any new products or issues be identified, Health Canada will continue to update our current list of affected products (http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/ahc-asc/media/advisories-avis/_2011/2011_61pl-eng.php). Canadians are advised to monitor this list of affected products for any possible updates on Triad Group manufactured products or recalls.
