SkinStore.com Launches Sun Care Education Effort

SkinStore Creates Guided Shopping Experience for Consumers to Effectively Choose Sun Care Products

GOLD RIVER, CA--(Marketwire - Jun 21, 2012) - SkinStore.com, the nation's leading e-commerce specialty retailer providing scientifically sound solutions for healing and maintaining healthy skin, has launched a Summer 2012 Sun Care education effort.

In anticipation of the FDA's new regulations regarding sunscreen labeling, SkinStore has launched a guided shopping experience in effort to help consumers make sense of the vast array of sunscreen products available and make informed choices. Shoppers may browse by formula: lotion, cream, aerosol or powder, such as Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 30; brand or SPF. They may also look for the Skin Cancer Foundation seal, which means they can feel confident about adequate sun protection. To earn the seal, manufacturers must prove that their products sufficiently and safely aid in the prevention of sun-induced damage to the skin.

"With hundreds of sunscreen products on the market, we wanted to create a shopping guide to enable customers to educate themselves and make informed choices," said Jeff Askenas, VP of Merchandising for SkinStore.com.
