Skyline Updates First Stage 2006 Drilling Program

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 26, 2006) - Skyline Gold Corporation (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SK) announces that the first stage drilling program on its Bronson Slope property in northwestern British Columbia is being continued by Boart Longyear Inc. from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan who replaced the previous drilling company as they were unable to fulfil their drilling commitment. Samples from 420 metres of HQ core drilling have been shipped to Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. in Vancouver, BC. Assay results from these initial shipments are expected in early November 2006.

In addition to the above drilling, the Company has re-sampled the core from a number of the core holes previously drilled in 1994 and 1997 in the High Wall Gold Zone, which is located on the south side of the Bronson Slope deposit. These samples, representing 520 metres of core drilling, will be assayed and subjected to metallurgical recovery and flow sheet development studies. The High Wall Gold Zone has not been included in the Company's historical resource estimate but previous drilling indicated an area with exploration potential in the range of 12 to 15 million tonnes grading 0.5 to 0.6 g/t gold. The High Wall Gold Zone is referred to in the June 1, 2006 Technical Report on the Bronson Slope Property prepared by Mr. A. A. Burgoyne, M.Sc., P.Eng., the Qualified Person for this property as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The Technical Report is available on the Company's website at and on the SEDAR website at
