SKYLIST to Underwrite Email Authentication Implementation Summit 2005

Leading Email Service Provider Joins Microsoft and Industry Leaders' Call to Action to Help Protect Customers and Internet Domain Holders

AUSTIN, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 20, 2005 -- SKYLIST, an email service provider and deliverability leader, today announced its underwriting support of the Email Authentication Implementation Summit 2005. The summit will be held on July 12th at the Marriot Marquis in New York City.

As a conference underwriter, SKYLIST joins Microsoft, Symantec, Cisco, VeriSign, Yahoo!, the Email Service Provider Coalition (ESPC) and other industry leaders in urging industry-wide adoption of authentication standards. The goal of the summit is to share lessons learned and prescriptive advice to help all Internet domain holders implement email authentication technologies today to increase protection for consumers in time for the upcoming holiday season.

Leading authentication experts will provide attendees with:

--  Best practices developed through working with leading e-commerce sites
    and financial institutions.
--  Detailed technical information to help counter spam, phishing and
    email fraud.
--  Instructions on how domain holders can join in the fight against spam
    and phishing.
    
This industry-defining summit will follow on the edict from the ESPC requiring members to implement one or more authentication protocols for their corporate and affiliate email and the Direct Marketing Association's ongoing call to action on authentication. The sending community clearly recognizes the value and importance of authenticated email.

ESPC Technology Committee co-chair Joshua Baer and Craig Spiezle, director of the Microsoft Technology Care and Safety Group, concur. "Consumers needed authentication yesterday and it is our duty as an industry to make sure that nothing further delays the roll out," stresses Baer, CEO of SKYLIST. "On behalf of our email marketing clients, SKYLIST made a commitment to authentication more than six months ago when we became the first email service provider to implement SPF, Sender ID and DomainKeys. We don't believe there are technical barriers preventing widespread adoption and we join others in the need for all domain holders to publish their SPF records by November to ensure that email delivery during the lucrative holiday season is unaffected."
