SkyMall Chooses Coremetrics LIVEmail™ to Boost Email Relevancy and Sales

SAN MATEO, CA--(Marketwire - September 22, 2009) - Coremetrics, the leader in marketing optimization, today announced that multichannel retailer SkyMall is leveraging Coremetrics LIVEmail and email services from ExactTarget to send highly personalized email campaigns to keep customers engaged and increase the likelihood of purchase.

The SkyMall catalog, found on 88 percent of domestic air flights, features merchandise from top direct marketers and manufacturers and reaches over 650 million air travelers annually. The challenge is to convert the interest generated while a passenger is airborne into a purchase decision on the ground.

The SkyMall email marketing program captures revenue that is lost when customers abandon items placed in their shopping carts on the company's website, www.skymall.com. Coremetrics automatically sends abandoned cart data to ExactTarget via the Coremetrics LIVEmail application, where personalized emails are triggered using ExactTarget's Automated Interaction Management (AIM) functionality. The email features dynamic content featuring the customer's abandoned product along with a discount offer designed to encourage a purchase.

In addition, email revenue has increased 34 percent over last year, and abandoned cart emails have a 32 percent higher open rate and an 18 percent higher click-through rate than other promotional emails.
