Build on the same technology of highly-acclaimed Skywatch cloud-powered network cameras, the platform can enable service operators to provide advanced features such as secure video streaming, robust HD cloud recording, video summaries, and smart video analytics with zero upfront software or server infrastructure investment. It also includes several crucial features for service operators to deliver their own services, such as user account and billing management, server and storage resources monitoring, and distributor management. The platform can be delivered as virtual private cloud on existing Skywatch global server infrastructure, or as private installations on customer servers.
CloudCMS
The Skywatch CloudCMS is a new breed of camera management software which provides several important values to the customers. Videos can be streamed to the cloud servers instead of being stored locally at each site, and this translates to lower hardware expenditures both in terms of local storage devices (NVRs) and servers. The software service model also enables customers to reduce IT staff requirements. Finally, the cameras and their recordings can be remotely accessed, managed and shared with simple web-based interfaces and smartphone Apps.
Smart Analytics
Skywatch also provides several consumer-friendly video analytics applications as part of their platform services. Smart Fast Forward is an intelligent fast forward button that skips faster when nothing happens, and slows the video down when interesting events occur. Smart Daily is designed to summarize important events during the last 24 hours, in one convenient image tile sent through the emails. Smart Caption is a technology that can transcribe video events into text. By utilizing deep learning algorithms and GPU computation technology, this impressive feat can be accomplished in well under a second.
Home Automation beyond the Gateways
Skywatch also announced its vision and implementation for the next generation Home Automation solutions.
