Slalom Consulting Ranked Eighth Nationwide in Glassdoor.com Best Place to Work Report

Work/Life Balance, Communication and Leadership Categories Drive Second Consecutive Year in the Top Ten for Business and Technology Firm

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - December 15, 2010) - Slalom Consulting, a premier business and technology consulting firm, today announced the company ranked eighth in Glassdoor.com's 3rd Annual Employees' Choice Awards which highlight the top 50 Best Places to Work in the United States. This marks the second year in a row Slalom Consulting has been included in this survey's top ten workplaces in the nation. The rankings are based on Glassdoor.com's online workplace community that posts unedited employee reviews and opinions about a company's work environment.

The continued recognition of Slalom by Glassdoor's survey speaks volumes to the company's culture, as the survey relies strictly on candid, anonymous reviews from company employees. The survey addresses eight key workplace factors that include work/life balance, career opportunities, communication, compensation and benefits, fairness and respect, employee morale, recognition and feedback, and senior leadership.

"Work is a vitally important part of our daily lives and the Glassdoor Employees' Choice Awards seek to honor those employers who retain the support and commitment of their employees throughout the year," said Robert Hohman, Glassdoor co-founder and CEO. "Slalom Consulting's efforts to maintain a strong company culture and provide opportunities for career growth are just a few of the reasons employees cite it's one of the best places to work."

Slalom has experienced rapid growth over the last few years and the company's ability to expand so rapidly while continuing to offer an exceptional work experience is a testament to its focus on a local model, which values community and client involvement.

"Slalom's values have always been about creating a winning environment where our employees feel professionally and personally fulfilled, while delivering the best results for our clients," said John Tobin, national general manager. "In less than ten years, we've grown to more than 950 consultants and established a nationwide presence, and have managed to maintain these values through that growth. The Glassdoor ranking is especially rewarding as it reflects how our employees feel about the company, and I'm extremely proud of all our employees as they keep our culture thriving as we continue to grow."

This recognition from Glassdoor.com adds to multiple workplace awards Slalom has received this year. Slalom was named one of the top ten consulting firms by Consulting Magazine as well as selected as One of Chicago's 101 Best & Brightest Companies to Work For by the National Association of Business Resources.
