LAKE HARMONY, PA--(Marketwire - October 26, 2006) - Urex Energy Corporation (the "Company" or "Urex") (OTCBB: URXE) announced that it has contracted with Lone Mountain Archaeological Services, Inc. of Albuquerque, New Mexico for an archeological survey of its New Mexico La Jara Mesa Extension uranium project with the objective of screening for cultural resources as a part of the exploration permit process. This work is intended to support exploration permitting on the federal and state regulatory levels. The survey will start on November 1, 2006 (weather permitting) with all 21 proposed drill sites to be examined.

Additionally, Urex has contracted with Mr. Lee "Pat" Gochnour of Gochnour & Associates, Inc. of Parker, Colorado to direct the exploration permit process as lead contractor. Mr. Gochnour has more than 25 years of exploration, development and mine permitting experience and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.
