Smart Band® RFID Wristband Applications for Cashless Payment, Keyless Entry, Access Pass, and Guest ID Demonstrated at IAAPA

PDC RFID Executive to Speak on RFID Technology for Amusement Parks

SAN FERNANDO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 8, 2006 -- IAAPA Booth# 5853 -- Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC), a global leader in automatic wristband identification, will demonstrate its Smart Band® RFID Wristband System during the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), November 15-18, in Atlanta, GA.

Smart Band wristband applications provide waterpark venues and patrons with automated cashless point-of-sale (POS), keyless entry to hotel rooms and lockers, park admission, and nontransferable patron identification, as well as other customizable applications. The Smart Band wristband system consists of PDC Smart Kiosks® and Smart Readers® as well as third party software and hardware as needed. Smart Kiosk is an ATM-like booth with a touch-screen that allows patrons to load money using cash, credit or debit cards onto the RFID wristbands.

Great Wolf Lodge, a family resort with an indoor waterpark entertainment area, uses Smart Bands for cashless payment, hotel room keyless entry, park pass and guest ID at two locations -- Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania and Niagara Falls, Canada.

"At Great Wolf Lodge, we strive to offer exceptional customer service and convenience to our guests," said Kim Schaefer, chief operating officer of Great Wolf Resorts. "Incorporating PDC's RFID wristband system was a great way for us to offer safety and convenience to further enhance the guest experience."

The RFID wristbands are also used at the outdoor waterpark Hyland Hills Water World in Colorado as part of a cashless POS System. Smart Band offers Hyland Hills guests a convenient, hassle-free method of making purchases, and it has increased in-park spending, according to Bob Owens, Hyland Hills Water World Assistant Manager.

Douglas Bourque, RFID Manager at PDC, will present a session entitled "RFID Technology for Amusement Parks: Increase Revenue Using Innovative Technology" on November 14 from 10:00 a.m.-11:15 a.m. Bourque will give a brief introduction on RFID and how it benefits the amusement park industry. Success stories on the effective use of Smart Band RFID Wristband applications will also be presented.

Demonstrations of Smart Band applications will be given at PDC booth 5853. For more information or to schedule a press meeting during IAAPA, please contact Paula Moggio at or 818-897-1111 ext. 1330.
