Smart Real Estate Investment Trust: Redemption of 5.00% Series F Senior Unsecured Debentures and 4.70% Series G Senior Unsecured Debentures

Smart Real Estate Investment Trust ("SmartREIT") (TSX:SRU.UN) announced today that it has redeemed $100 million aggregate principal amount of 5.00% Series F senior unsecured debentures due February 1, 2019 ("Series F Debentures") and $90 million aggregate principal amount of 4.70% Series G senior unsecured debentures due August 22, 2018 ("Series G Debentures", and collectively with the Series F Debentures, the "Debentures"), constituting all of the Debentures outstanding immediately prior to such redemption, in accordance with their terms as previously announced. The Series F Debentures were redeemed at a total redemption price of $1,091.347019 plus accrued and unpaid interest of $6.027397, both per $1,000 principal amount, for a total aggregate redemption price of $109,737,441.73. The Series G Debentures were redeemed at a total redemption price of $1,066.705151 plus accrued and unpaid interest of $2.961644, both per $1,000 principal amount, for a total aggregate redemption price of $96,270,011.95.
