SmartMetric Achieves Breakthrough in Super Slim Electronics With a Fully Functional Circuit Board of 0.1mm Thickness Used in Its Biometric Fingerprint Activated EMV Chip Credit and Debit Cards

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 16, 2015) - SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME) -- Speaking today, SmartMetric's President & CEO, Chaya Hendrick has said SmartMetric has successfully created a breakthrough in miniature thin electronics with its less than paper thin electronics circuit board. Measuring in at 0.1mm our circuit board along with our own amazingly super thin components such as the cortex processor, memory and power management system puts us at the leading edge of miniature sub-micro electronics.

We have spent over a decade in developing our own miniature super thin electronics to create a fully functional fingerprint scanner that fits inside a standard thickness credit and debit card. In so doing we have now become an industry leader in super thin electronics and assembly that gives us the ability to use our expertise in a variety of advance consumer products and government contract products, Ms. Hendrick said.

SmartMetric is in talks with Financial Institutions around the world about deployment of its biometric EMV chip card and is very satisfied with the high level of interest in its technology as a tool in the ongoing global fight against financial fraud.

SmartMetric has built inside an EMV Chip credit and debit card a fully functional fingerprint scanner that is used to activate the card's EMV Chip prior to a transaction. The card holder becomes the key using the person's own biometrics to activate the card. If the holder of the card is not the card holder then simply the card will not work.

The SmartMetric biometric payments card solution works with existing chip card readers in retail stores and ATMs without the need for additional hardware or systems at the bank. According to EMV co there are 3.4 billion EMV chip cards now issued around the world.
