SmartMetric Biometric Card With Built In Nano Fingerprint Reader - New Advancements Make It Better, Faster and More Cost Effective

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Dec 9, 2013) - SmartMetric, Inc. (OTCQB: SMME) - Speaking today, SmartMetric™ Inc. President & CEO Chaya Hendrick said that the company has been able to achieve significant cost reductions in its material and assembly costs of its world first and smallest complete in-card fingerprint reader as well as its ground breaking MedicalKeyring used for biometric safe storage of a person's medical records.

The company has vigorously pursued advances in its electronics, which has resulted in a much reduced component count along with an even greater reduction in component physical size. This has resulted in significant cost savings for both raw components along with the cost of manufacturing. A faster CPU has also been added ensuring a fingerprint read of less than 1 second.

The SmartMetric fingerprint activated complete card solution is a quantum leap in card authentication in the payments industry along with superior identification verification for identity cards.

A person's fingerprint is stored inside the card and then the cards surface contact and or internal RFID/NFC chip is activated following a fingerprint scan and match of the card users fingerprint. A fingerprint sensor that is connected to the advanced nano in card circuit board operates the SmartMetric miniature in-card fingerprint reader.
