Smartronix Announces Award of Headquarters, Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) Prime Contract


HOLLYWOOD, MD--(Marketwire - Jun 6, 2012) - Smartronix was awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract to support the discovery, design, and implementation of future AAFES information technology (IT) software/application development efforts. This contract will allow AAFES to award task orders to Smartronix to support the assessment of various Exchange systems and applications. The contract also has the potential to include tasks related to legacy software migration, software upgrades, and transition to new applications in support of Exchange IT software deployment needs.

This contract has a base period of 10 years with an option for six additional years; and is estimated to have a total potential value of one billion dollars over the base period of the contract and a ceiling of two billion dollars over the life of the contract.
