Smartronix Recognized by GSA for Initial Task Order Award


HOLLYWOOD, MD--(Marketwire - August 31, 2009) - Smartronix, Inc. was recognized by the GSA Government Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) Center for receiving the first task order issued under the GSA Alliant contract vehicle. Mr. Casey Kelly, Alliant Program Manager Director and Mr. Paul Martin, Senior Contracting Officer presented the award to Smartronix in recognition of a successful start to this much-anticipated Information Technology (IT) vehicle. The Alliant GWAC vehicle offers the potential for a 10-year period of performance and has a $50 billion contract ceiling to the 59 prime awardees. Commonly referred to as the Government's premier IT contract, Alliant offers a broad range of IT products and services to federal and Department of Defense agencies. When asked to comment on the significance of this award, David MacRae, Smartronix Executive Vice President of Business Intelligence and Operations, stated "We are honored to have received this recognition; however, the credit should be directed towards the hard work and commitment of the entire GSA Alliant GWAC team.
