SmartSource Expands IT Recruitment Services to Include High-Level Sales Consulting and Solution-Architect Resources

New Position Offerings Complement Existing IT Resource, Project Management and General Technical Support Staffing Services

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - May 20, 2008) - SmartSource Inc., the only technical staffing company that focuses primarily on partnering with the IT-solution-provider channel, today announced from the Gartner IT ChannelVision conference that the company has expanded its IT-staffing services.

SmartSource is now helping VARs and solution providers recruit high-level sales and technology solution-design consultants. The new position offerings complement SmartSource's traditional staffing recruiting services of systems engineers and project management as well as general technical deployment and support professionals.

"During the past year, our IT-solution-provider customers have asked for more help finding high-level sales and solution-design consultants," said SmartSource president Joe Iovinelli. "As we began helping them on a case-by-case basis, we saw the demand for staffing these types of professionals grow so rapidly that we decided to formalize our offering. Hardware VARs in particular have indicated they need solution architects to help expand their businesses, so over the past year we have built-up our pool of candidates extensively in that area as well as sales consulting resources."

The sales consultants that SmartSource has recruited possess technical backgrounds with the ability to sell a variety of hardware, software and integration services, and they specialize in closing on major proposals. Once the sales are finalized, SmartSource then helps VARs and solution providers further by providing solution-design consultants that create integrated solutions across a wide array of technologies. SmartSource then completes the resource requirement loop by offering on-site systems engineers, project managers and technical support personnel to deploy solutions. "For the last 12 months we have proactively recruited for sales consultants and design consultants, and we've added senior recruiters to our internal staff," Iovinelli said. "This expansion is a natural extension of our services as it helps VARs expand their revenue base through solution design services."

In 2007, SmartSource revenues grew to their highest level ever. The company now has 5000 consultants as full-time W-2 employees along with 1100 consultants as 1099 contractors. "The size of our talent pool literally gives us coverage in every major zip code across the country," Iovinelli said.
