SMC Entertainment, Inc. Appoints Fred McKendree as VP of Sales, Marketing & Distribution

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - May 10, 2011) - SMC Entertainment, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: SMCE) announced today that Fred McKendree, a seasoned sales and marketing professional, has been appointed to the Company's management team. Over the span of his career Mr. McKendree has had a hand in the success of a number of chart topping acts across genres including Ozzy Osbourne, Ice Cube, Master P, Dr. Dre, Jill Scott and many more.

Mr. McKendree has worked at some of the most influential companies in the music business including Priority Records, EMI and the Handleman Company. While at Priority he worked with a who's who list which ranged from Tony Iommi to NWA; creating innovative merchandising and sales programs that helped position them as the largest independent label in the late 90's and working with some of the largest physical retailers in the world, including WalMart, Best Buy, and Blockbuster Music.

Most recently as Vice President Sales and Distribution at RBC Records he worked both independent and major artists' projects including Tech N9ne, Rakim, Raphael Saadiq, E-40, and many more. With a strong background in both the physical and digital landscape, he has created many groundbreaking promotional campaigns allowing indie artists to flourish in an ever-changing music marketplace.
