GREENWOOD, SC--(Marketwire - November 23, 2010) - The Flex-Tek Group of London-based Smiths Group P.L.C. today announced the promotion of Dane Owen to the position of Vice President and General Manager of its Global Heating Element, Packaged Heat, Farnam Custom Products, AeroSonics Divisions.
Prior to joining Flex-Tek, Owen was director of national sales and marketing for Milliken & Company, where he held positions of progressive responsibility during his 22-year career with the privately held, Spartanburg, South Carolina-based, chemical and textile manufacturer. During his tenure with Milliken, Owen was instrumental in launching the industry's first patented do-it-yourself residential carpet tile and rolling it out nationwide. He has multiple patents in his name.
