XY Planning Network today announced Snappy Kraken as the winner of its inaugural FinTech Competition, focused squarely on tech innovation that helps improve the ability of financial advisors to deliver financial planning services to Gen X and Gen Y consumers. The announcement was made at the #XYPN16 conference, the industry's only financial planning conference exclusively for advisors serving Gen X and Gen Y clients.

The 2016 winner was elected from a pool of 19 applicants across the United States. In order to be chosen as a finalist, their technology had to be for financial planners and support delivering financial planning services to Gen X and/or Gen Y clients, launched in the last 12 months and have less than $1 million in revenue.
