WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 17, 2012) - Snipp Interactive Inc., an international provider of mobile marketing solutions listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX VENTURE:SPN), today announced a beta trial of Face-in-the-Hole, an innovative new photo sharing technology solution to generate revenue. The technology will allow marketers to use photo sharing by mobile phone users to build their brands, adding to Snipp's existing arsenal of successful marketing tools that are in use by organizations including Time Inc., ESPN and Conde Nast.
Using Face-in-the-Hole, marketers will invite users to take photos of themselves, friends or family and receive back uniquely designed images combining the user's photo with company branding. For example, a brand sponsoring a sporting event can take a received image and touch it up to dress the person in historic jerseys of the home team and then send it back, where it will be shared and forwarded repeatedly, building brand awareness. Images can be combined with various call-to-action such as social media integration, mobile coupon offers or loyalty program engagement, services Snipp provides commercially.
Mobile photo sharing is a soaring phenomenon, as evidenced by the popularity of consumer applications such as Instagram (now owned by Facebook), Lightbox, Picplz, Scan and Dailybooth, Face-in-the-Hole offers marketers increased control of the customer experience and most importantly dispenses with the need to download a mobile app. It works with virtually any contemporary phone, not just Android phones or iPhones.
