Snipp Interactive Launches Its SnippRebates Industry Solution to Re-Invent the $8 Billon Rebates Market


BETHESDA, MARYLAND--(Marketwired - Dec. 10, 2014) - Snipp Interactive Inc. ("Snipp"), an international provider of mobile marketing solutions listed on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX VENTURE:SPN), has launched SnippRebates to target the growing $8bn rebate industry.

SnippRebates is designed to reduce costs for manufacturers while providing consumers with a better experience. The rebate industry is growing every year but is still very traditional, relying on labor-intensive processes involving paper, form filling, manual data entry, telephone support, postage and issuing checks. SnippRebates automates either parts of the process or the entire operation. Over $8 billion is issued back to American households each year through rebate programs with over 50 percent of the population participating in consumer rebate programs.

At the core of SnippRebates is Snipp's leading purchase validation platform, SnippCheck. While manufacturers have total flexibility on how to configure their rebate program, SnippCheck enables consumers to submit rebate forms and proof of purchase via mobile, email or web uploads, track the status of their rebates, and receive funds electronically, all within 48 hours.

While Snipp expects many manufacturers to automate individual parts of the process initially, SnippRebates provides manufacturers with the flexibility to customize the entire process to meet their business goals.

For example, consumers can be given the choice of submitting proof of purchase via text, email, web upload or by post and can also be given the choice of how their reward is paid, either by electronic payment such as PayPal, by pre-paid debit card from the major payment processors such as Visa, MasterCard or American Express, store gift card or by traditional check.

Rather than being constrained by offering a dollar amount off a single purchase, SnippRebates can be configured to enable manufacturers to create more complex, and compelling rebate offers for consumers such as rebates on purchases of multiple products or repeat purchases of a single product.

Finally, because SnippRebates is integrated with Snipp's promotions and loyalty platform, it also enables manufacturers to use a rebate program as a gateway to a deeper relationship with the consumer through future promotions and loyalty programs.
