SNS Silver Announces Mr. Grundman as Director

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 27, 2009) - SNS Silver Corporation ("SNS" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SNS) has appointed Andrew S. Grundman to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Grundman was appointed because of his extensive experience concerning the Sunshine Mine in Kellogg, Idaho, and also to comply with the Mining Lease Agreement entered into on April 15, 2009 between SNS and Sunshine Precious Metals, Inc. ("SPMI").

"I am impressed with both the credentials and the professional attitudes of the Directors of SNS." He further stated: "My initial reaction when meeting the Directors is that they are an especially qualified group of mining professionals who possess both the interest and ability to make the Sunshine (Mine) the successful operation it was in prior times." Mr. Grundman served as the former General Manager of Sunshine Precious Metals, Inc. during the period the mine was leased to Sterling Mining Company. Earlier this year, at Sterling Mining's request, he joined their Board of Directors, along with John Ryan and David Greenway in an attempt to address Sterling's many defaults in the contract with SPMI. When it was ultimately discovered the defaults were incurable, and their financial difficulties were worse than expected, Mr. Grundman resigned.

SNS President David Greenway comments: "I welcome Andrew Grundman to our board as it has always been a pleasure to work with him." Mr. Greenway further noted: "I have seen Mr. Grundman in action, and know that he possesses the necessary skills to ensure that SNS' plans are realized in a timely fashion." Mr. Greenway clarifies: "Grundman is a no-nonsense person, and his legal background will serve as an asset to our Company."

Mr. Grundman is currently based out of Nevada and Sinaloa, Mexico. He provides business consultation services to various precious and base metal operations throughout the western United States, Canada and Mexico. From 2002 until 2003, Mr. Grundman was the General Manager for the Sunshine Mine in Idaho. Mr. Grundman, through collaboration with the Idaho Attorney General's Office, the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality and the Environmental Protection Agency, was able to negotiate the transfer of one of the Sunshine Mine's tailings ponds to the State of Idaho for use in safely containing contaminated material from a nearby Superfund site. Prior to this, Mr. Grundman was employed by the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, and served as an Executive Fellow to the Chief Deputy Attorney General for the California Attorney General's Office. Mr. Grundman holds both a Juris Doctor Degree and a LL.M in Government and Public Policy from McGeorge School of Law - University of the Pacific. He has been an active member of the State Bar of California since 2002.

SNS Silver Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SNS) is an exploration mining company, whose assets include a number of near term production projects in geopolitically secure Idaho, USA. The 100% owned Crescent Mine consists of 24 patented mining claims over approximately 350 acres. A comprehensive drill and mine rehabilitation program was completed in 2008 and production will supplement the company's operations at its recently acquired Sunshine Mine. These adjacent properties operated independently to produce nearly 400 million ozs of silver historically and their recent merger is expected to enhance exploration opportunities on their once disputed boundary. SNS also benefits from a partnership arrangement with Premium Exploration Ltd. to jointly develop two near term gold production projects in central Idaho; Buffalo Gulch and Friday/Petsite.
