SNS Silver Highlights Crescent Mine Progress

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 22, 2009) - SNS Silver Corporation ("SNS" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SNS) continues to advance the Crescent Mine (Silver Valley, Idaho) towards production. Resource development costs and scheduling are nearly complete with metallurgical research currently underway. Custom milling opportunities for Crescent ore are currently being investigated with several local mining companies. Historical milling information of Crescent ores, along with recent metallurgical test data, will provide useful information as to the future processing requirements.

David Greenway, President and CEO of SNS Silver, said:

"The Crescent is a hidden gem. We have proven production and exploration targets and feel it is in our best interest to advance the Crescent Mine towards production. It is unfortunate that we were unable to save the Sunshine but there are other mills available in the valley and our focus has to be clear."

Upon purchasing the Crescent Mine in 2006, SNS Silver's geological team identified a potential ore body above the main haulage level. An exploration program was designed to test these theories and a surface drill program was conducted in 2007 - 2008. The primary drill targets were two nearly parallel mineralized structures approximately 800 feet apart; an extension of the Alhambra vein and South vein. The Alhambra vein system is responsible for most of the historic 26 million ounces produced at the mine. The South vein was discovered and explored only at depth of below 3100'.

Surface mapping, core drilling, and geologic interpretation thus far during the project have produced the following results:

- The St Regis formation strata that have been demonstrated to be the most productive hosts of economic Silver Belt veins have been found to extend upward to the surface, not part way, as had previously been thought.

- Encouraging alteration and veins extend throughout nearly the entire length and width of the property above the Hooper Tunnel. The intermediate veins are tentatively interpreted as possessing greater strike and dip dimensions than formerly known.

- The South Vein has been identified to date as extending as much as 1500 ft above the Hooper Level and 3000 ft west of the Crescent Shaft. However, the recent drilling has yet to significantly explore this structure further to the west of the property or to depth.

Future Exploration

SNS' exploration program has revealed excellent potential for near term production. Drilling from the surface and underground programs, during 2007 and 2008, has yielded reserve results from the 43-101 report. Additional drilling below this target is anticipated to further extend its resource.

SNS Silver is anxiously anticipating the next phase of the Crescent project; developing and expanding the resource by means of new raises, drifts, ramps, and boreholes.

SNS Silver Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SNS) is an exploration mining company, whose assets include a number of near term production projects in geopolitically secure Idaho, USA. The 100% owned Crescent Mine consists of 24 patented mining claims over approximately 350 acres. A comprehensive drill and mine rehabilitation program was completed in 2008 and production will supplement the operations.
