SNS Silver To Begin Surface Drilling at Crescent Mine in May

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - April 25, 2007) - SNS Silver Corporation (TSX VENTURE:SNS) has engaged Atlas-Faucett Contracting to begin its surface drilling project in mid-May, which involves core drilling of near-surface veins in the Crescent Mine's ("Crescent") upper country. The total drill footage for the surface drilling project is estimated between 35,000 to 45,000 feet, requiring two drills in order to be completed in the current drill season. The immediate drilling will explore: (i) the upper Alhambra Vein-which provided the earliest mining for the Crescent beginning in 1917, (ii) the never-explored upper extent of the South Vein structure, and (iii) a number of additional veins that lie between these two.

Historically, the early mining of near-surface veins at the Crescent emphasized production of lead, rather than silver. SNS speculates that significant low-grade silver reserves remain, and potentially undiscovered higher-grade bodies may occur within this highly-accessible, yet inadequately-explored region. The South Vein has not been explored above a depth of 4,400 feet below its surface projection, and SNS believes the South Vein shows strength where it was originally discovered. Upward, SNS believes the South Vein-like the Alhambra structure-projects through the same highly-productive strata which is similar to the largest ore bodies in the Coeur d'Alene Silver Valley.

SNS Silver Corp. owns 100% of the Crescent Mine in the Coeur d'Alene mining district. The Crescent Mine is a historic high-grade silver producer. From 1917-1982 the property produced 25 million ounces of Silver at an average grade of 27.3 ounces per ton. Prior to its last shut down in the 80's, previous operators of the Crescent Mine reported over 9 million ounces of silver resources at an average grade of 18 ounces per ton. The property lies between two world-class Silver producers. The Sunshine mine which has produced more than 300 million ounces of Silver and the Bunker Hill mine, which has produced over 150 million ounces of Silver. The Coeur d'Alene district is the only known mining district in North America to have produced over 1 billion ounces of silver. SNS Silver (SNS) trades on the TSX-V under the symbol SNS. the Company has approximately 27.2 million shares outstanding and approximately $9.0 million cash on hand.
