Hot Chocolate Sponsor: Calgary Meals On Wheels
YYC Hot Chocolate Fest ( #yychotchocolatefest )

YYC Hot Chocolate Fest is a delicious and friendly competition to see who makes the best hot chocolate in Calgary. And the best part is, all the yummy goodness supports a wonderful cause. Proceeds from each drink are donated to support the clients and programs of Calgary Meals on Wheels.

Throughout the month of February, participating cafes, restaurants, and chocolatiers feature signature hot chocolate drinks created especially for this competition. Customer online votes will decide which vendor will win the coveted title of Calgary's "Best Hot Chocolate" and there's a spirited category too! We also award the vendor with "Most Funds Raised" because we think being generous is super important.

The fest started in 2012, so we are super excited to be celebrating the 5th annual event in 2016! To kick things off, everyone is invited to the official launch was on Saturday, January 30, 2016!
The launch will include free hot chocolate samples, a showcase of participating vendors, and the official "inaugural sip" to formally commence the festival. Join us at 11am sharp at the stage area in the Food Court of the Calgary Farmers Market!

Try a drink or try them all! Grab your friends and family, and enjoy YYC Hot Chocolate Fest!

Music Mile Society
Historic, trendy and soulful, with great restaurants and one-of-a-kind retail, Music Mile is Calgary's original main street. It's a great place for a walk, popular for its fine dining, galleries and proximity to attractions like Fort Calgary, the Calgary Zoo, St. Patrick's Island and RiverWalk. Above all, Music Mile is buzzing with musical energy generated by the talented musicians who perform here year round, in all genres, at an extraordinary variety of venues.

WHERE is Music Mile? It's 9th Avenue S.E. from the Blues Can in Inglewood to Studio Bell (the home of the much-anticipated National Music Centre, opens 2016) in East Village, with great live music houses like Ironwood Stage & Grill, 500 Cucina, the Alexandra Centre (home of the U of C Ballroom Dance Club and rehearsal hall for the Calgary Civic Symphony) and Fort Calgary (home to outdoor festivals and the newest live music stage on Music Mile, Burnswest Theatre) in between.
