About the Guest Speaker:

Adam Rozenhart

Adam is a digital strategist for Calder Bateman Communications, working with a variety of clients to develop and implement online marketing and engagement strategies. He's co-host and co-producer of a popular hyperlocal, talk-show podcast called the Unknown Studio. The show was born in 2009 out of a chance meeting in a bar. A lot of awesome stuff happens that way.

Adam is also co-founder of the popular websites OilersNation.com, FlamesNation.ca and CanucksArmy.com, now part of the Nation Network of hockey sites. Originally schooled in the ways of psychology at the University of Alberta, Adam quickly discovered a passion for writing. So he decided to volunteer for the Gateway, the student newspaper at the U of A. He wound up volunteering there for a few years before getting hired on as Arts Editor, Opinion Editor and finally Editor-in-Chief. After his tenure at the Gateway ended, Adam spent some time freelancing for See Magazine, Vue Weekly and the Edmonton Journal. He also worked for three years as a technical writer for a provincial utility company. (FollowAdam on Twitter or find him at AdamRozenhart.com.)

About SMBYEG

SMBYEG houses an open environment to share today's best and worst examples of social media, as practiced by individuals, industries and organizations in Edmonton and around the world. Guest speakers share their experience and expertise of social media use, followed by an opportunity to network with a community of like-minded individuals.

The SMB was founded by Bryan Person in August 2007 as an event for social media newbies and experts to come together to eat, meet, share, and learn. The breakfast series began in Boston and has now spread to more than three dozen cities around the world. The Calgary and Edmonton chapters of the SMB were started by Scott Baird of McQ Design Strategies as a place for social media enthusiasts to discuss effective practices and new techniques.
