Social Networking Site Announces Latest Innovation in Talent Casting for Children

Children In Film Is Announcing a New Ready...Set...Meet!™ Speed Casting for Kids Event on June 14th, 2009. RSM, Created by Children In Film, Is a Program Where Young Talent Have the Opportunity to Meet With Industry Professionals to Further Their Entertainment Careers

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - June 12, 2009) - Children In Film Inc. today announced their next Ready...Set…Meet!™ speed casting event for talented minors, which will take place Sunday, June 14th in Los Angeles. This event will feature talent agents who specifically represent children. Designed to give young talent opportunities to meet with industry professionals, the CIF Ready...Set...Meet!™ events, which initially launched in February, are modeled after the speed dating concept.

Attendees enter a room with casting directors, agents and/or managers and spend three minutes with each where they can perform a short monologue, answer and ask questions, and display their star-potential. The event includes opportunities for parents to meet with industry vendors, such as the AFTRA-SAG Federal Credit Union, and receive answers to their entertainment questions from qualified professionals.

David K. Rogers from Actors Tax Prep will be speaking to parents at the June 14th event about financial concerns associated with child actors.

At a recent Ready...Set...Meet!™, Fern Champion and Paul Ruddy of Champion Casting were among the industry professionals who met with such child actors as Shanna Grove and Makaela Johnson.

"We had a wonderful time meeting a top group of young professionals who were prepared and anxious to be stars," commented casting director Fern Champion, who cast such films as "Children of the Corn," "The Kings of Appletown" (starring Dylan and Cole Sprouse), and "The Mask."

"The Children In Film event was thrilling," said Shanna Grove. "It offered a wonderful opportunity for me to meet with several industry professionals. It also has helped give me a start into the business!"

"This single event has furthered her career more than any other we have attended," explained Shanna's mother, Kim Grove.
