Social Solutions Hosts Webinar That Addresses Relocation Stress Syndrome Among Seniors

Motion Picture Television Fund to Share Stress Mitigation Strategies

BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwire - August 20, 2007) - Social Solutions, nationally recognized for empowering human service providers and the organizations that fund them to strategically tie their efforts to measurable outcomes, will host a live Webinar to show how the Motion Picture Television Fund (MPTF), a provider of care for the very young to the elderly in the Southern California entertainment industry community, is mitigating stress issues arising from seniors who are transitioning into different levels of care. Tracy Greene Mintz, LCSW, will present her findings.

During the August 21 Webinars, to be held from 10-11 a.m. and 3-4 p.m. (EDT), Greene Mintz will share how the MPTF has identified and tracked the issues affecting at-risk seniors and measured the interventions to determine what solutions are working. Webinar participants will discover the best practices developed and the tools used to support the decision-making process that is helping seniors make more successful transitions.

"I look forward to teaming with Social Solutions in this effort to help empower anyone who's helping seniors or their families through care transitions," said Greene Mintz. "Lessons learned through our service to MPTF residents could be helpful to anyone working in long-term care, senior relocation, retirement, assisted living, and other related senior services."

With insurance limitations and hospital regulations dictating frequent moves for the increasing population of seniors with health problems, this topic is vital to anyone working with seniors and their families. Persons interested in participating in the Webinar can register at http://www.socialsolutions.com/relocationstress/.

"MPTF has been serving its community with compassion for more than 85 years," said Kate Robinson, director of advocacy, Social Solutions. "While working to help seniors stay independent as long as possible, MPTF is ready when people chose to transition to their campus. This type of transition can be difficult and many people experience Relocation Stress Syndrome, an important issue among an increasing elder population and needs to be better understood and addressed."
