Socialware Announces Q2 Release of Its Social Business Platform

Latest Product Update Includes Features That Streamline Compliance, Enhance Marketing Capabilities

Socialware has a themed release each quarter, with a particular target audience in mind and set of capabilities built for that target audience. The Q2 2013 release theme is "Streamlined Compliance." As financial organizations deploy social media at large scale across their businesses, it puts more stress on Compliance teams. Socialware continues to focus on making social media a scalable and secure platform for financial services firms to conduct and generate business. This release includes an improved compliance user experience as well as new access control features to address the recent onslaught of social media site changes. Compliance features in this release include:

  • New filters in response to social site changes including the ability to control use of milestones and comments with pictures on Facebook, preventing the use of forwarding a Tweet using Twitter email, and blocking the use of rich media in LinkedIn profiles and status updates.
  • Enhanced moderation of messages created by financial professionals.
  • The ability for a compliance officer to create standard default disclosure text for the Socialware landing pages of all members of a policy group.
  • Updated archives to include 3rd party actions.

In addition to the compliance features, there are several new marketing capabilities included in this release:

  • The ability for financial professionals to create content as well as subscribe to a pre-existing marketing campaign.
  • A "Bookmarklet" that enables marketers to pre-populate content in Socialware Voices directly from an online article, as well as "Sticky Note" functionality to communicate contextual information about a piece of content to financial professionals in the field.
  • Updated and enhanced performance metrics.
