AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwired - Dec 19, 2013) - Socialware, the leading social business solution provider for regulated industries, today announced that Ken Naumann has joined the firm as Chief Executive Officer. Naumann, who brings extensive experience growing enterprise software companies throughout his career, replaces former CEO Chad Bockius who will continue to serve in an advisory role to Socialware's board.
Socialware's business success in 2013 has ignited a new period of growth and expansion. During the past 12 months, Socialware has added several new enterprise customers, realized large expansions within existing enterprise accounts and has seen record increases in software, renewals and professional services revenues. This further solidifies the company's leadership position in social media applications for the financial services and banking industries.
"The Socialware executive team wanted to find someone with a track record of growing successful enterprise software companies to shepherd Socialware through this next growth phase, and we found that in Ken," said Kip McLanahan, Socialware's chairman of the board. "Socialware's board firmly believes in the industry Socialware serves, the company's strategic direction and the Socialware team."
Naumann has served as CEO, president and other executive roles for multiple enterprise software firms across a variety of verticals, his most recent role as president and CEO of Ditech Networks. Ditech, a provider of advanced voices processing, cloud-based SaaS and on-premise voice recognition solutions, was acquired by Nuance Communications under Naumann's leadership. He also has held executive sales and marketing roles at Paymetric, Guidance Software and BindView, now Symantec. Additionally, Naumann has an extensive background in marketing and selling compliance software and has a deep understanding of the compliance challenges facing Socialware's clients.
"I'm excited to join Socialware at such a pivotal time in its history," said Naumann. "They were the first-to-market with their social media management solution for financial services and as such, they have the most experienced team and robust product available. With a solid team, a board that adds value, a sustainable business model and a well-thought out strategy, we are positioned to achieve even greater success in the marketplace."
"Through his diligence, Ken quickly recognized the massive potential of the Socialware platform, the team, and the leadership position they've built," continued McClanahan. "Ken demonstrates all the qualities that Socialware values internally with their employees and externally as they interact with clients, prospects and partners. He's a great fit to lead this next phase of growth for the business."
